Licores Segrel

A family of liqueurs under one concept

Naming • Packaging design

Bodegas Pablo Padín needed to bring visual order to its range of traditional Galician liqueurs. Four different products — orujo, herb, coffee and cream — sat side by side with no shared language to identify them as a family or to reflect their origin and character. The project was framed as an exercise in cohesion, working the naming and the packaging from a single concept.

The system is built from a shared imagery inspired by the night, the moon and Galician folklore, taking formal references from Romanesque and Gothic art. The aim was not to make everything uniform, but to build a system able to express belonging without canceling out the personality of each liqueur.

The design is organized around a central element — the moon — reinterpreted in a distinct version for each product. A restrained graphic language, sober in color and with distinguishing details, makes each product quick to identify while keeping the range reading clearly as a whole.

The result is a coherent, recognizable, structured range that strengthens the bond between the Segrel liqueurs and their origin, bringing character without resorting to folkloric or decorative codes.

— Frequently asked questions

What is Licores Segrel?

Segrel is a range of traditional Galician liqueurs from Bodegas Pablo Padín (orujo, herb, coffee and cream). Koolbrand brought them together under one brand concept through naming and packaging.

What did Koolbrand do for Segrel?

Naming and packaging design.

How do you bring a family of liqueurs under one concept?

By building a shared language, with naming and packaging drawn from a common imagery, that identifies the four products as a family and reflects their origin and character.

Why bring a range of liqueurs together?

Because without a common language the products compete with each other; a cohesive system reinforces the brand and makes recognition easier.
