What branding actually is

Most companies do not have a brand problem. They have a decision-making problem.

Every week someone in your company decides what to say, what to show, what to charge and what to turn down. When there is no brand underneath, each of those decisions is taken on instinct, by a different person, in a different direction.

A brand is what makes those decisions consistent without a meeting. That is why we build it as a system: positioning first, then the language, then the identity, then the rules. In that order, because each one is the input for the next.

01

Positioning before pixels

What you sell, to whom, against whom and why it costs what it costs. If that is not settled, no amount of design will settle it later.

02

A language, not a tagline

Naming, tone and the three or four things you always say. Written so your sales team, your agency and your packaging supplier all say them the same way.

03

An identity that scales

Logo, type, color, imagery and layout built as a kit. It has to work on a 40 mm label and on a trade-show wall without being redrawn.

04

Rules somebody can follow

Guidelines written for the people who will actually use them: your team, your printer, your web developer. Not a 90-page PDF nobody opens.

FAQ

Before you ask.

What is the difference between a logo and branding?

A logo is one asset. Branding is the decision system behind it: who you are for, what you promise, what you charge for it and how all of that shows up in language, identity and behavior. A logo drawn without those decisions is decoration, and it usually gets redrawn within two years.

What does a branding project include?

Depending on scope: an audit of what you have, positioning and brand architecture, naming if you need it, verbal identity, visual identity, the core applications and guidelines your team and suppliers can actually work from. We quote by phase, so nothing is bought before it is needed.

How long does a rebrand take?

A focused identity project on settled positioning: six to eight weeks. A full rebrand with strategy, naming and architecture: three to four months. What lengthens it is almost never design — it is how fast decisions get made on your side, so we agree that calendar up front.

Do you work with clients in the United States?

Yes. We work remotely from Spain with brands in the US and we have an office in Miami. Much of that work comes from Hispanic-founded companies that want European design standards without having to change language to get them.

Do you only work with food and drink brands?

Food and drink is where we are deepest, but a good part of our work is retail, industry and B2B services. The method is the same; what changes is how long the audit takes and which codes of the category are worth breaking.

We already have a brand. Can you fix it instead of replacing it?

Usually, yes, and usually that is the better answer. Most of what we do is evolution: keeping the equity your customers already recognize and rebuilding everything around it that stopped working. Replacing a brand outright is a decision with a cost, and we will tell you when it is not worth paying.

Next step

Tell us where the brand stops working.

Send us what you sell, who you compete against and what made you start looking. We will tell you, honestly, whether we are the right agency and how we would approach it.
