— Frequently asked questions

What is Brand Strategy?

Brand Strategy is phase 02 of the Koolbrand Method. It turns what Brand Discovery found into a framework of strategic decisions: positioning, brand architecture and the rules that order every future decision.

What does a brand strategy include?

A brand strategy includes defensible positioning, value proposition, brand architecture (parent brand, sub-brands, products), communication territory, priority audiences and hierarchy rules for future extensions.

What is the difference between positioning and a slogan?

Positioning is the strategic decision about where the brand competes and what place it holds in the customer’s mind. A slogan is a tactical expression of that. Positioning drives decisions on product, price, channel and communication; a slogan does not.
